Indiana Transportation Museum roster
« on: May 08, 2012, 10:12:38 PM »
A nearly complete, but unofficial, museum roster is posted below. Many thanks to the preservation committee of ITM and specifically Craig Pressler for sharing the data for publication here.

The official roster, with photos of the pieces, should be posted on itm.org sometime in the future.

If anyone has corrections or more information to add to this, please feel free to post what you know. Thanks!

Using this roster I have started the process of putting current pictures of the equipment up:

Ref the 200. Is there any plans on Repainting it back to its Original UP Paint Scheme. That would be kind of nice to see it in its Original UP Paint, The way it came from the Factory.

Also Ref the 200. What was the Original UP Number on that Locomotive. It would be Nice if you could show the Original Numbers on the Locomotives if possible.

It was UP 200. I think the ex-MILW locos are not original numbers, but that's because they're the last MILW numbers--they went through a couple renumberings. Others, such as a couple switchers, are listed with their original numbers and current numbers in parentheses.

That is a major matter of debate. Some want it in UP paint, some want it in some sort of ITM scheme, some think it should be some other Indiana railroad. Nothing decided for sure.

We probably need to go thru this and list what is capable of moving to Logansport, and what isn't.

Of course somethings may be moveable via TTX flat.
If in doubt, Notch it out!

Lots of stuff to divide up, though I think we should wait and see what details surface.
20 down. Time taken to complete: 4 3/4 years.

Sad thing is indrr, prior to your post, last post on this tread was a year ago already talking about having to move.   A year wasted on lawyers and very little prep to move.  Now they are up against an 8 day and counting deadline.

I doubt that a year would have changed this list much. Maybe a few "scrapped" would be "sold" or "transferred" but that's about it. Why carry a bunch of junk to Logansport when all you care about is running a tourist train?
