Good camcorders for video
« on: April 12, 2012, 06:57:28 PM »
Was looking to start doing video and possibly doing a DVD release by the end of the summer.

I was originally looking at a Canon VIXIA HF R300 Full HD Camcorder with an external condenser microphone to do train videos with, but after seeing a review of it, I'm not sure.

What's everyone using and what is the best camera without going broke?

I have a Sony Mini-DV HC28, which is already obsolete!  It is easy to use and it very light. The light weight however, makes it very prone to camera-shake. The heads do tend to dirty frequently. I did obtain some accessories, however, and have had plenty of fun with it. Now, I am seeking a nice Sony flash memory replacement. Does anyone know more about Canon's reputation?
