Annual Muncie Model Train Show/ February 25th

The last Saturday of February is the traditional time for the MUNCIE TRAIN SHOW at the Delaware County fairgrounds.

February 25th, 2012 / 10 AM - 4 PM

See the attached flier for details about the 2012 show.

Muncie is traditionally a O scale, 3 rail majority.  However there has always been a fair amount of HO and some N there as well.  Depends on how many of the major vendors show up for it.  If you haven't been, go.  Its 2 buildings, the memorial building is packed with vendors.  The other building has the layouts.

Awesome! I havent been before but im definently gonna go im into ho scale so ill bring some money just in case.... I cant wait! maybe ill get to meet some people off of here there.

Muncie Train Show / February 25th

Another friendly reminder . . .

The Muncie Model Train Show is this coming Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

Two buildings!  Free parking!  Enjoy operating layouts, vendors, educational displays, etc.!

Support the local train club (and the good work they do at the Muncie Children's Museum) and Boy Scouts (who run the refreshment stand).

I have bought a lot of good photos there. John Fuller I think is the dealer,Train stations a lot of stuff that is gone

Yes, John usually has a table, however last year he wasn't there.  There are a few lamp/TT/lock dealers too.

A lot of HO last year actually! Was pretty impressed with the show all around and pretty happy to be able to get to it!  Perhaps meet some of you there; I'll be easy to spot in a Southern Tee.

the model train show was awesome the kids, me and my gf had a blast i seen several good deals and i wanted to get them but they didnt take cards darn it :-/ does anyone know when the next train show is and where its gonna be?

Thanks to all who attended today's 21st Annual Muncie Model Train Show at the Delaware County Fairgrounds!  From what I observed everyone had a fun time!  The show was a busy one from start at 11 AM right up to closing at 4 PM.  Our sponsoring club sold out all 220 vendor tables.  Both our vendors and the 5 operating layouts in the new Heartland Building next door (one HO, one N-scale, one live steam G-gauge, and two O-gauge) were busy all-day with visitors.  The information booths for the NMRA, Nickel Plate Historical Society, Hoosier Valley Railroad, and Indiana Transportation Museum all had a steady stream of visitors.  The circus modelers had the largest number of interested visitors any of them could remember.  Heck even the Boy Scouts sold out all their food by 3 PM.  I saw many sweet deals and got some great buys and trades.  Next year's show is Saturday, Feb 23, 2013 - same place, same time

Had a great time at the show. Found several deals on some brass engines. I wondered around the whole show probably a dozen times just to make sure I didnt miss anything. Loved the live steam layout.

Yep, huge crowds . . . and a lot of fun!

Attached are photo's of the CinTrak display with the nice scenery and the P&E RR layout with their impressive SD90s.

The "Operation Lifesaver" booth (guy in the red shirt) is in the background of the second pic, and that important topic (booth) was popular all day long.

Congrat's to the M&W Club!
