It left Lafayette at 2253 hrs, which is 53 minutes late.  They're probably about to depart Crawfordsville now, if they haven't already.

Was told that #42 is out at Beech Grove. I guess it was touched up in the paint shop.

Wonder why there haven't been any of the Amtrak Heritage Units or Special Paint Schemes on the Cardinal Lately? I know that for some, they would be hard to catch unless they were in Lafayette when it went through.

145 belongs to the Hoosier State at this time. It is one of many Phase III locomotives.

66 is still at Beech Grove, apparently down for the count after two truck vs. train incidents
If anyone has an update on 66, and IM would be appreciated relative to its status

42 (Veteran's) may not be considered a "heritage" per-se, but it has had a lot of mechanical and electrical restrictions
currently in California until the new Chargers are accepted for service there

145 has also had some mechanical issues lately, which may be why it is staying close to Chicago

156 184 and 822 are the remaining possibilities

We have a better than average chance of seeing a variety of Amtrak power than most parts of the country due to Beech Grove.

Just one of the big advantages of living in Indiana.
