Not technically a heritage unit, but the Veteran's unit (42) made the trip up to Chicago today on the Hoosier State. Unfortunately the decal is still under wrapping until the official unveiling.

Okay I am sold, repaint them all like that. (Without the logo of course)
If in doubt, Notch it out!

While not exactly a heritage unit, Amtrak #42 in commemorative Veteran's Salute paint job was released from the shop this morning.  It ran behind #82 on the Hoosier State.

Supposedly programmed to come back south tonight, Friday.

Upon closer inspection the pilot and bottom of the locomotive appear a dark blue. Personally, I would have made it more prevalent, but that's just me.

Should have painted in it phase IV/V/Wavy Gravy blue.

184 is leading with 506 trailing reverse this evening for the Hoosier. They look good as a pair.

Nice shots. Meant to get up this morning to see if 184 was leading again, but I slept right through 6AM  ;D

51 is reported to have 184 in the lead through Indiana on Saturday. This is the Phase IV anniversary scheme.
