Animals loose beside the track at OZA 233.2
« on: November 03, 2010, 09:46:58 AM »
This should be interesting.  Sounds like some animals are loose near the tracks north of Vincennes.  With four northbounds coming and Q515 near Carlisle could be exciting.  Couldn't tell if it was cattle or what though.  At least CSX seems to have a schedule this is the 3rd day in a row we've had 4 northbounds approaching around the same time with Q121 going by around 9am and Q515 an hour behind.  Hope nobody gets hurt out there.

Funny you mention this, last night several horses got loose on the mainline around Oakville on the NS New Castle district.  Oakville is MP 112.5, or about 6 miles south of Muncie, or where the new double track/extended siding will be ending.

Hmmm.........there are no livestock around that area. Should be around the sawmill area. Herd of deer?
Thanks Chad.

Odd coincidence, MP 220 between Vincennes and Sullivan is the town of Oaktown. Oakville on NS, Oaktown on CSX.

Of course MP233 is pretty near the old Wabash river buffalo ford, from the circa 1750s, AKA the Buffalo Trace.
