I am considering any suggestions anyone has,  have plenty of time to consider each or consolidation of them.
Will plan on first Sunday in November, 2011.
So far more suggestions of a "Box Lunch" type serving.

Brian B.,

When the Milwaukee Road Historical Association came to Terre Haute we set them up with box lunches from Kroger. Because of the volume, I think there were a couple hundred, MRHA was able to get a big discount. Everybody got a good lunch, with fruit, etc and they were delivered to boot. I believe they did the same thing on their excursion to Bedford. Not sure how that would work in Indy though. Might save you the work of putting them together. It's not shrimp, but most folks are riding for the ride, not the food.

To Brian Hall and the INRD crew, you did a nice job. It was nice to ride some rails I haven't ridden in 30 years (Latta Sub) and some I had never turned a wheel on. The Bear Run turn was the highlight of the trip. Last time I rode a train to what was then Latta yard, there was still a depot there. Had my sights on a trip to Louisville but retirements of those who could make it happen and the line sale nixed that.

Decision on food;
Keeping the "Food Bar", just add more meat and bread.   Add more strawberries (strawberries may be omitted)
The money would be from omitting the folowing;
Omit the shrimp,         savings of $60.
Omit the donuts,         savings of $30.  (for 2011 it would be savings of $60, because I would have to double the quantity)
Omit the boxed candy, savings of $21.
                               A total of $111 savings  would buy 12 lbs of meat, 6 loafs of bread, 6 more packs of strawberries.

This should be my last reply on this excurison post.
Take care, see you on another posting.

Peanut butter, jelly, bread and a glass of milk, all the major food groups. What more do you need?

Shelbyville-1st RR in IN: 7/4/1834. 1st RR abandoned in IN: K&S RR 1854, 26 miles. Making IN RR history. Without photons photography would be a black art. You can never get cornered in the Roundhouse.
