-Columbus street trackage added
-A bit of the Angola and Lake James route that can be found (haven't speculated on its exact route yet)
-The Mt Vernon-Evansville line added, except the location of the crossing with the L&N
-Parts of the E&OV around Rockport/Grandview
-Most of the UTC between Wabash & Marion added
-Fort Wayne & Decatur route added
-Several scale precision corrections--trying to refine my early 1:10,000 work to 1:1,000 (or at least 1:5,000).

Updated the interurban layer with the trackage in Crawfordsville.

http://tinyurl.com/2dm3dfk

The biggest question here, unless I'm overlooking something, was whether the THI&E actually served their own power plant along the river.  There was a siding to it from the Monon that crossed Washington Street, went right by the interurban carbarn and machine shop, then headed NW to the power plant.  One map labels it as "RR siding" and another as "Interurban RWY".  I could see either scenario being possible.  I've not yet found a photo of the power plant when open, as that would indicate whether the siding had overhead wire or not.  As it is, I've only mapped the trackage that I know was interurban.

Another question is how far west the wye on Market Street went.  I show it at about a block long, but that's just a guess.

Don't know if this helps, but in the "Electric Railroads of Indiana" book it makes mention of the Monon owning an electric locomotive that was used exclusively on that spur.  Sort of implies to me that the Monon served it?

Nathan, you may want to check with the Monon RR H&TS about the Crawfordsville trackage.

Their convention tour was in that area last fall, and they gave us a whole packet of maps showing the various arrangements of trackage in Crawfordsville, including the connections with the THI&E. I've misplaced mine, but I know that their resident historians did a lot of research for the tour, and could probably tell you more than you want to know.

It was a great tour -- we even got to spend an hour in Crawfordsville's power plant, which was like a working museum.

I do remember that mention of the Monon having an electric locomotive.  While I'm in the area, I will map the siding as an electric rail, with Monon as the owner.

I'll check with the MRH&TS for their maps.  Thanks!!

Updated the electric railways map again, with most of the Chicago-New York Air Line (and associated lines) mapped: http://g.co/maps/h9uvg

I unfortunately had to stop at the Porter county line, since I can't figure out the correct path into Lake Station (it's been awfully built up). At least mapping the Air Line is pretty easy, since it's just an arrow straight shot :)

Another version of the electric railroads/interurbans is uploaded:

http://goo.gl/maps/lBP79

Updates include:
-Added the portion of the Covington & Southwestern out of Kingman that I could accurately map--about 1/2 of its overall length
-Corrected the Charlestown branch (previously, the line went far astray of the actual location)
-Started the Terre Haute city routes--now about 1/2 completed
-More/less finished the Middletown branch--just don't know where the rail actually ended
-Some general refinements for precision in various places

Here is a GE KMZ file that I have added some RR missed and some that maybe were planned but not completed.  I have also added one that I traced the REX express pipeline.

-Filled gaps in at Brazil, Rockport, Boonville

-Added StJV line to Bristol
-Added more Gary Railways and Northern Indiana lines; still many more city routes to go in South Bend and the Region
-Refinements in Anderson, Auburn, Goshen, New Castle

I noticed the Danville line dead ends on rockville rd. It needs the last segment to run the south border of Ridenour Park at holt and rockville, then tie into 40 just east of the little eagle. Remember that thread I made? That was cool seeing the plots still said IRR in the park.

Thanks for the reminder. I'm putting off anything more in Marion County until I have the guts, and time, to tackle all of it at once.

Update: due to google's change in policy regarding displaying off-site map files, the file must now be uploaded to google and hosted on their own server. Which is actually a little more convenient. It also means that I should have one map link that will reflect any updated map file uploads (in theory--haven't tested it yet).

It also means that I can publicly sketch hypothetical routes in the quest for help, as I am currently doing in the Evansville area. The original Evansville-Princeton route was rerouted very early on to avoid steep grades. However, I have been unable to find any definitive evidence for the exact route. I've sketched two options on the map for anyone to consider, or to research more if you're in the Evansville area.
