The Polar Express™ will come to life when the train departs Connersville’s Grand Central Station for a journey through the quiet countryside for a special visit to the “North Pole” with Santa Claus. Guests on board will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while listening and reading along with the magical story. Experience the joy of watching the children’s faces when the train arrives at the “North Pole,” where Santa Claus and his helpers will be waiting. Santa will board The Polar Express™ where he will greet each child and hand them their own special sleigh bell during the return to the station. Families are sure to make this an annual holiday tradition.

Established in 1972, the Whitewater Valley Railroad is a non profit railroad history organization.  It is an operating railroad museum dedicated to the preservation of a historic branch line railroad, the restoration of railroad equipment, and to the conduct of railroad educational programs.  The railroad is operated by volunteers and all proceeds from this event will be used to further the organization’s mission.

Traveled over to Connersville this afternoon and got some pictures of the Polar Express. The kids of all ages seemed to enjoy it a lot. The train backed up to the station from the yard just before sundown and folks loaded for journey to the North Pole. The station was full of folks waiting to board the train. Got a few of the train leaving town but it was getting dark. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
