Hurricane Dorian
« on: September 01, 2019, 08:11:24 PM »
Well will Hurricane Dorian be the Hurricane that hits Jacksonville Florida that Shuts CSX Down? Doesn't look good of sound good for them. Does CSX have any other Centers that can open if need be.

Latest track shows the major brunt of it staying off shores.  No direct hit to J-ville

Doesn't CSX had their facilities in a almos bomb proof bunker of some sort?

That is what they believe.  Nature may have something to say, or not.

Now it looks like the eye of the storm won't hit Florida at all.

The NWS is just hoping it wont hit Florida. Look at what it has done the last two days. Just set there. I sure wouldn't bet on what the NWS is saying on the Direction it will take. No one in Florida is taking any Chances either on this new change. They aren't sure either. NWS has been wrong before. Now there is a Tropical Storm in the Gulf of Mexico heading west to Mexico. It might pull Dorian into the Gulf and then Dorian could take a Eastward Turn in the Gulf and Florida get a double dose of bad weather. Never know with this crazy weather we are seeing. Last report was it is still on a Westward Movement

I'll stick with the NWS over whatever this is.

So did Hitler.  Look what happened to him.

More seriously, Dorian seems to have dealt Jacksonville a glancing blow.  Not much damage and what there is mostly comes from storm surge.
