Nickel plate 624
« on: June 04, 2019, 12:31:26 AM »
Over the weekend. I was traveling old 24 near Wabash. In what use to be a corn field, looked like a rail spur being put in and along that. The parts of what is NP 624 sitting here. Online it reads it was donated to fwrhs in 2017. It said it would be either a cosmetically restored or back to service, at a off site location. So for now. It's hanging out at Wabash. Anybody have idea of why is hear? And ongoing developments?

From what I have heard, the only way the FWRHS could get it was through a third party... and the owner of the quarry across from where 624 is stepped up to help.
20 down. Time taken to complete: 4 3/4 years.
