Rail worker saves man from Evansville fire
« on: October 26, 2017, 11:39:51 AM »
A rail worker at Howell Yard did what he needed. The house in question is the third north of the yard on the west side of this street and has a clear view of the yard.  http://www.14news.com/story/36688540/rail-worker-saves-man-from-evansville-fire

I just hope that the railroad does not find some reason or excuse to fire the rail worker for his heroic act. Seems like these days you read about people being fired for all sorts of odd reasons. One would think this event would give the railroad a good image in the eye of the public.

But he clearly "abandoned his post" by leaving RR property. (unless he did it on his lunch break)
