Not Purdue.  It's in a different area code.

No and no.

This building isn't part of an institution.

How about in Railroad Township, up by North Judson?

Not in Railroad Township.

I think at this point, it's safe to say this is a one-room schoolhouse, one of an astonishing number that still exist.  There is no "railroad curriculum"; it's just built near a railroad.  I don't get the opportunity to cruise the hiways and byways of Indiana as often as I like, so I don't believe I've ever stumbled across this one.

Since it's been a week with no more activity I'm gonna throw everyone a big ole bone. I stumbled across this on a bike ride.

If you know from my past posts where I frequent you'll figure out the area to look in.

Well that limits it to Knox or Kosciusko.  With that said, I still donít have an answer.  Iím going to guess Knox since it appears to be more of a railroad county.

This would not happen to be on a building thatís associated with VU would it.

An earlier clue stated that it is North of US 24, so it would be in Kosciusko County and not Knox County.  I am going to take a WAG and say Pierceton?
Cheers, Al

Not a bad WAG at all. Can you pinpoint it?

Would this be affixed to the old PRR depot or Carnegie Library?

Let me be helpful and unhelpful at the same time; this building has a Pierceton mailing address but is not in the town itself.

It's neither Wooster or Larwill. One is too far east and the other too far west.

Is this a building across from Pierceton Elementary School, just outside of the town limits on CR 700 E (within the park area)?

It's not on 700E.

Hint: this building is within sight and sound of the railroad.

And we have a winner!  On a very rare ride route in October I rode by and out of the corner of my eye and hideen by the trees caught the word railroad on the engraved stone.  It took me awhile to get back that way to get a picture of the rest of the building.

I've no idea the history of the place but thought it to be an interesting find.
