"Running Trains" On The CIOR
« on: June 22, 2008, 10:11:32 PM »
Simple operating session on the CIOR this afternoon.  A few pics, including . .

1) Work in the staging yard, making up a new consist on the lower level
2) A "rookie" engineer watching a string of emply coal cars come down the helix behind dual BN power
3) The display on the dispatcher's computer . . . controlling the RR via laptop
4) A CIOR crew member inspects a lineside relay box (but no problems were found)

Fun times, thanks!  RDS

The first picture is great.  Al is making up the trains, the long time yardmaster Mark is standing by as he decided to work a road train this session.  I see Sarah's head looking for her train...

Ryan did a fine job.  Next time we will give him the super slinky and let him have a go at a 40' train.

PS, that computer screen looks bare!  I know ol Goose had it with more red then I have ever seen!   ;D

Matt . . . . I suppose you don't even want to remark about my favorite pic from above, #4 (is that you in over-alls and a red hat, checking the wiring?).

LOL!  :)

Actually, here's the best close-up view I got yesterday, of the FRED on the end of Ryan's coal train.  I picked up one of these Ring Technologies units at Toys Forever Hobbies the other day and love the look.   Can't wait to get one of the new orange models.

Na, I was to busy laughing...LOL  Besides, I'm a tad too tall to fit down there.

Nice shot of the EOT.

Did the Signal bridge shot come out ok?
