The Historical Society's June 4th First Sunday Meeting

On Sunday June 4th, at 2:00 PM, the Madison County Historical Society,
Inc. will hold another of its First Sunday Meetings. The topic will be
a Power Point Presentation, “Railroads, Then and Now – Big and Small”.

The topic will cover the Railroads that ran through Madison County
connecting with other points in the country. We will start with the
oldest photos of trains and depots and work our way through NYC, PRR,
CI, and NKP up though PC, Conrail, CSX & NS. The last few photos will
three shots each of model railroads that I photographed three or four
years ago. At the end of the presentation, the Train Room downstairs
will be opened for those who may be interested.

The presentation will be approximately 1 hour long. Enter at 11 West
11th Street. The meeting will be held in the Bowman Room of the
Madison County History Center, in downtown Anderson, and is open to
MCHS members and everyone wishing to see the presentation and learn
more about the railroads that serviced the area. There is no charge to
attend this or any event in our facility. Please call (765) 683-0052
with questions.
