For what it's worth. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked up the area code for that phone number, apparently it's for Portland, Oregon.
No I didn't bother to call it as that page seems laughably disingenuous.
I think that is where one of them is from based on location showing in another forum.

Heard a rumor UP curtailing the vast majority of switching at Salem.

Not sure how true, so I guess wait and see.

This would jive with shifting interchange over to St Louis like Q373/374 have been doing.

Traffic levels have been down, but it should be cause of yearly track maintenance. they usually move everything to STL to have less traffic to deal with while repairs/upgrades are being made, unless this is something more permanent...

Is there a hump yard in Salem?  I was reading about UP shutting down hump yards this year and I thought it listed Salem among the casualties.

Been looking at Google maps lately and it looks like trees and brush north of the tracks in Cone Yard exposing more of the roundhouse and shops. Are they finally tearing down the ruins of the old facilities?

Where in relation to Rose Lake yard is it?
Is it on a railroad other then CSX? I've never seen it listed as a CSX yard.
It's west/southwest of Rose Lake. This was the rail yard for the B&O, L&N had a parallel yard right there as well.
As Seaboard System came about, L&N and B&O combined ops there. I don't remember the exact time it closed.

Cone Yard, or what's left of it in ESTL, IL.
Alongside I64. 9if this file comes through)

Just north of the casino. Last time I was out that way they were cleaning the place up.

No, this is east of the casino.
The interchange in the pic is I-64 and I-70

Is the old shop/yard being discussed not between the interchange and Packers Ave North and east of the casino Queen parallel to 55?

More east than north, but to be more specific, itís between St. Clair Ave (IL 3) and Packers Ave with I-64 parallel to it.

1980s I think?  Its been a long time....  I seem to remember it being decrepid and abandoned (its visible from the highway) all that long ago.

I just found out that this so called Pimple Faced kid, in some basement, was contacted by a Law Firm to buy those three subdivisions.
What ye say to that?

So a law firm contracted you or contacted you?
