New Lafayette server in the works
« on: July 13, 2016, 10:41:29 AM »
After keeping this silent for awhile, ATCS will be returning to Lafayette soon via a server my mom will be hosting. I have spoke with the guys who did the install at my house and I have got an antenna and computer on the way. The audio feed is going to be an addition also since I have too many scanners(Pro 91, 93, 106, and Uniden BC346XLT). The BC346XLT will allow the support of alpha tags online so you will know who is talking.About the only things I need now is the extra Maxtrac I have programmed and a AC to DC power source....and Traintenna indoor Blade antenna since these antennas will not go outside due to the house being a rental. Mom has no net right now but she is working on getting that issue repaired. Late August to early September is the expected install time.

I spoke with Doug, the custodian of the line, and he said it would be a good thing since it reduces decode error rates. Plus as I stated, I have too many scanners.....
