Muncie street trackage
« on: November 16, 2014, 06:16:04 PM »
I haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere on the site ...

After dropping my daughter off at BSU this afternoon, I drove down Calvert Street, and where it crossed North, there was a short length of track in the pavement. Old industrial track? Streetcar? Random piece of misplaced rail?

It's from the Muncie streetcar system. Don't know why just it was left though.

I knew someone would know (and I had a hunch it would be you).

Odd. It's large enough that you can see it on Google Earth.

Exactly what I was thinking. Though it's good they're still interested even after all these years. Jay 😃
