So what geep are they using? I thought 200 was being repainted.

200 is being repainted, which is why it is not on the FairTrain consist.
The south leader is GP-7L #426 (NKP black-and-gold); the north leader is F7 #83 (NKP blue-and-white "what if" scheme).

Pretty sure I heard a different horn leading northbound, hope it's not the turd.
The gates are going down and the people are starting to frown.

17 down, 3 to go.

Rode Saturday definite improvement over years past. First time seeing 83 in the new paint scheme,  looks great.

Morgan Davis helped apply the NKP name to 83 Thursday evening between trips.

83 has a balky governor so it was replaced by 200 Sunday evening by Jon Payne and Tom Nichols.

Blake Doulton and I added the unit number and ITMZ to 200, finishing at 5:30 Sunday morning. We have more to add, but it will likely be on the train until the end of the Fair.

Should have left the 83 on it.

I know it might be between paint schemes, but the 200 looks mighty classy in the black with yellow rails.

How was this years ridership on the Fairtrain? Good, bad? How's this year compare to other years?

I don't have the figures here at work, but ridership was down marginally to just under 15,000 round trip (almost 30,000 passengers if you count them like transit agencies). Income was up due to the slight fare increase. We had been concerned that the demolition of the station, construction uproar and reorganized parking would hit hard, but the Fishers administration did their best to solve every issue. The Fishers Kiwanis did a great job directing parking again this year. The recent track project did produce comments about the smoother ride. We worked in the afternoon Nob. - Fishers - Nob. charter on Tuesday the 12th which will provide very good political connections.

And while I am not a stuident of numbers by anymeans, my guess would be that considering school starting way early, "down marginally" isn't a huge concern.
