Hoping that Laurel will be opened by then, surely someone will.
If not there is a restaurant in Metamora, I will check on.
Thought about a cook out on the transfer caboose?
It would work very well. Serve food during the entire trip. Would have to add cost to tickets of $6 +.  Drinks would be included.  Would not make money off of food, keep it at cost.
Could have more photo stops.

On tickets, wait until November.
Do not know where I will be working, may go out of state again, hope not.
Sorry I came Evansville, should have stayed in WV, until some other RR called.
I was looking three months for other employment after I came to Evansville.

As planned so far, cost will be $30.
If restaurant in Metamora works out.
If not, then the "Cookout on board" will be done. This will add $6 to each ticket, for all you want to eat and drink until all gone.
This would be added to ALL tickets, I am NOT going to have a "meal ticket" and a "no meal ticket".
Cookout would include hamburgers, sausages, hotdogs, backed potatoes, etc.
Have to do something about Laurel restroom stop. Will check with the town and see if their restrooms would be available.

I keep cost very low, events cost too much everywhere.
The last two trips has cost me money,  never  pay my self, it all goes to the railroad.
This is a relaxing day, there is no rush, the railroad is all ours so I can charge the schedule as we go.

Laurel Inn has reopened, by Mildred Gabbard. The same person that had it before.
So good news for the restroom stop and meal.
All aboard, you can now send payments. Made out to Brian Banta, NOT the WVRR.
$30 per person, minimum age 14.
Mail to: P. O. Box 56
               Edinburgh, In 46124
Request caboose or coach. Same price.
Checks not cashed until March.
Have not got my credit card system in operation, all I have to do is call, a lazy ( #%@) I am.
Southend caboose is already reserved, by the Shelby County group, as always.
Only six months away.

All, I have not done my mailings as I have in the past.
Maybe the layover in Metamora is a negative.
Not one check has been received. May start doing it every two or three years.
Thanks for the mailings.
The Shelby Indiana group will go most likely, they have been every year.

Brian, Mark Chambers and Myself are going on the Caboose Trip. We would Like to have the B&O Caboose that we had last year unless they have an NYC Caboose and if so we would like that one. Mark was wondering if you will be at RFI or the Railway Historical Society Meet on the 14th. Please let me know.

Major change, the last Sunday is Palm Sunday.
DATE CHANGE.  4th Sunday. March 22.
A person called that has gone before and questioned my day, he reminded me that is Palm Sunday.

Larry and Mark can have which ever you want, first call .
Hope this date change does not a problem.

For the first-time I mailed a customer and got five sold, will mail a flyer with all my business mail. This saves me postage and an envelope. This will be a new source to add to my passenger list. He has a full caboose reserved.

So the trip so far is a go. Also have a customer that is a board member of a national service club, he is interested in the trip and will discuss it will the organization.
This could be a full train.

Hope to see another full train. All the money goes to the WVRR.

P.S looking for a 3rd shift or a 4 day a week job between south Indy, Seymour, Shebyville and Greensburg.

Laurel Inn group dinning room has been reserved.
Loco will be determined by the WVRR, but not to use the MILW, horn too loud. It irritates some and me.

I got a curve chart somewhere.
I been grouping things together. Remember correctly what CONRAIL specifically said was the poor ties and light rail on the sharp curves would not handle a fixed three axle, without doing damage over time.

Got a box of profiles setting in front of me now, not indexed. Will check.

We should have started a new post!!!!!!   LOL

That must be where the idea it was 4-axle only on the WVRR.  There has been a lot of work done on the track  since then.
Didn't the NYC run 2-8-2s on the line?  That's an even longer rigid wheelbase than a six-axle diesel.

Yes. There's video of a mikado working South Connersville and working its way back to Valley Junction.

It all depends on if Brian wants the horn changed out on it since he doesn't like the current one.

Otherwise, it'll be whatever fires that day. Either 25 or 9339.

For next year and after, there will be NO walkins on trip day.
I have no idea on number of passengers going, this is NOT acceptable.
I want the money (accounting) done on the previous Monday BEFORE, the trip!!!!!!!!!.
And do to free riders, within groups, no proof but, but very sure!!!!!!
You will have to get tickets, at the station with a ticket agent having a list of passengers to check of. Your name is not on the list, you do not go.
THE the only reason this trip was not canceled, was I had folks from California, and some of my customers going.

This Should have been done a Long time ago. It is Not Fair to those who Pay for Trip.  For someone to take advantage of you is Not Right Either. Groups should have to tell you how many will be going and Pay. We do Appreciate what you Do. And keep up the good work.

Maybe be packing more together, two cabooses short.
All the windows had been broken out last week, thanks to White Trash drunks.
They had a beer party in one.
But the windows have been replaced, here the trip money is raised now to pay the cost!!!!!!
I never have vandalized anything in my life, so I have an extreme hatred towards these people.

Yes it was a Great Trip. We had a Good Fire going in the Stove and was able to set in the Caboose with our Coats Off. Me and Mark can't wait for Next Year. We had the Black Cherry and Waffle Cone from the Ice Cream Store. That was Very Good. The Food at Laural Inn was Good, even though it took a while to get our food. We had a Big Crowd that ordered Food. The Servers were Great as well. So to everyone who Rode, Tell your Friends about this Trip and get them to Ride Next Year. Lets fill the Cars Next Year for Brian. Word of Mouth goes a Long Way.
