« on: September 25, 2016, 03:44:10 PM »
Was at the festival in Atlanta today and noticed the tracks were paved over at the main road through town....are they paving over crossings now?

With ITM still banned from use of the tracks, I am not supprised, it was probably getting rough.  First train thru will cut new flange ways or they will clear it by hand if its to deep.  Haven't seen a pizza train since last year.

Looks like chip and sealed it.  It'll harden up over time but an engine with cut right through that especially if it's warm out.  They did that up here over one of the Elkhart and Western crossings.  Train would open it up, cars would flatten it down and was like hat for about 2 months.

They should run an engine over that as soon as they are allowed back on the tracks.
