The new EB signal in Warsaw has been aimed and bagged and I saw there is a WB counterpart to it just east of the Argonne Rd underpass. It's also aimed and bagged.

So far at the diamond only the EB home signal has been turned and bagged and that's been that way for a few weeks.

This past week I've been seeing CFE 5597 paired with IORY 5678. Yesterday afternoon they were parked WB in the Winona siding with 5678 leading.

This morning around 7 I caught a WB NS stack train in Warsaw.  10:45 I see another one rolling west.  Does anybody know how many trains NS is moving over the CFE west of Ft Wayne and what the symbols are?

Yesterday afternoon in Warsaw I saw a WB CFE freight stopped and saw something unusual: a lone well car with loaded with a pair of 20' containers.  First time I've seen any intermodal in a CFE train before.

Wasn't sure if that service had finally begun or it was an oddball shipment.

Starting small indeed.

CFE 3041 leading Marquette Rail 3413, CFE 3316, and CFE 2106 eastbound in Warsaw at noon today.  Very strange seeing four units on point.

Caught the FWCH stopped in the siding in Warsaw yesterday afternoon.  CFE 5597 leading IORY 5678.  What was notable to me were the four well cars each with a pair of 20' containers.  Looks like the intermodal traffic from the IORY is /really/ picking up!  LOL

On my back to work from lunch yesterday caught something heading west through Warsaw and the tail end was all 2 bay covered hoppers.  Seemed unusual.  On my ride last night I caught it parked out by Selby and was surprised to see what was on the head end.  Apologies for the quality, sun was all wrong and I couldn't get them all in the same frame.  I think all 3 NS motors were dead, the GEs definitely weren't running.

Is that direction headed towards Chicago?  If so, they were most likely taking those engines to be used for power going east out of Chicago.  Not sure which yards cf&e go to.

Yes, heading west.  CFE goes to Blue Island for sure, not sure of any others.  Pretty much all pictures I see of the CFE off of home rails is on the IHB between Tolleston and Blue Island so I suspect Blue Island is their sole western terminus.

Transfer jobs will come pick them up or they can be used for IAIS cars brought in if 35j power canít be used.  Could also be used for 34j power.  Ihb also likes to use foreign power for switching so they donít use their own fuel.
