Is Sidney a signal along the Belt?

Or do you mean it's being routed to Sidney, OH and down the Toledo Sub to Cincy?

If this is the case then will it go through CP IU or take the Belt?

It will take the Toledo Sub to Cincy. I believe the only reason they take the belt is if the train is carrying some sort of hazardous materials.

We just drove under Hawthorne on Emerson and I didn't see the usual line of geeps on the middle bridge that we usually see. I wonder if they sent a transfer out out recently. Isn't it called Y129?

I'm going to change the name of this thread to, "Sightings Around Indianapolis" so that I Don't feel the need to post a new thread every time I see something in town.

Others can feel free to post sightings here as well of course. I only get to Indy every few weekends at least.

We're at a music collectors convention but if someone knows exactly when Q360 departs Avon and can give me a heads up on its position, I should be able to go get it. I'm assuming it's getting ready to depart if it hasn't already.

Q360 was through McCordsville at 1321.
The gates are going down and the people are starting to frown.

17 down, 3 to go.

A lot of the time they leave earlier than advertised.

It's ok, you didn't miss much. Had a pair of CSX AC44CW's and 144 cars.

Thank goodness! I was afraid it had like 50 engines or something! ;D

The engines cycle to Avon on the weekends for servicing.  That would be why you don't see a whole string of them on a Sunday morning/afternoon.  Lafayette does the same thing on the weekends.

Next EB will be Q218 well after the game.  Q359 was out at Union City around 1400, so will be in town after the game.  Other than that, not much moving.

Practice Safe CSX

As info, CSXT 5000 arrived Montgomery AL at 0131 this morning on a L282.
Q595 just passed me with the 5011 leading.  ;)

After watching the video back I  confirmed that Q218 was led by a C40-8W #7719 and an SD40-2 #8017.

Q219 west UP 4012 & CSX 6040 running elephant style, mixed freight. Clear at 02:03

K473 West on the crawfordsville, CSX power with what looked like two LIRC engines, green and yellow, ethanol train. Clear of North Hunt at 02:32

I didnt get a good look at the engines from kroger parking lot, i know the title took up the stripe behind the cab. However though on my way in to get groceries it was a nice suprise because last i heard they was parking at kraft runner east, and was not aware of it being a crew change. Where's it headed?

Had a pretty good night tonight, 5 trains in an hour.

It could be, it was a dark color with a wide stripe down the middle. Judging by what i find in the google photos, the name looked more like DCE. They were both facing backward behind the CSX power.
