Open Street Map
« on: August 14, 2013, 08:56:40 AM »
http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=14/39.1206/-84.5531

I found this mapper on-line the other day.
It has the best transportation mapping I have seen, it even has abondoned rail lines.
I don't know if I am late to the game and everyone already knows about it, I just thought I would throw it out there.

Yes, its a nice mapper.  I like that its open source, but at the same time the ability for anyone to edit makes me worry a bit.  I've debated going in and updating Muncie a time or two.

WOW, I haven't seen this before.  I checked it at multiple Indiana locations and it seems to be incredibly accurate and up to date.

Rog, thanks for posting this as I have not seen it before.  I checked out the area around Linton, Dugger, and Jasonville for the old coal lines and it certainly seems to be comprehensive.  I can see it being very useful for tracing the course of lines that are now long gone.
Cheers, Al
