NS New Castle District Sightings
« on: May 03, 2013, 08:27:35 AM »
To condense all my posts from Richmond, I've decided to make this thread. Other people from other locations such as Muncie or New Castle can feel free to join in too of course.

Just heard the dispatcher say that 65(something) is going to meet 1(something)(something) in Richmond. My scanner kept cutting out during the transmition unfortunately.

How much does all the equipment cost? Also, L84 has HH GP 50 #7006 which has a yellow door on the conductor's side.

65G

So I was right the first time when I said, "65(something)." Figures I'd doubt myself. ::)

I heard from a friend who's parents work in the depot district here in Richmond, that they saw gray passenger cars and equipment going thru today. could this have been the consist for 765? Maybe the equipment was the shovel for the coal.

Saw the MOW train heading north through Warsaw about 9:15 tonight.  I only caught the last couple of flats with some hirail equipment then all of the dormitory cars.  Is this the tie gang?

Two UPs on 124 thru Richmond at 10:34 AM. Also 51Q is coming and might have the S&A heritage unit. I'll post in NS Heritage units sightings if I see it.

OH I forgot to mention that L84 took those card to the Richmond Pass earlier. I think their engine and the cars are still there waiting on L81

I was curious what has had the pass at Richmond occupied a good bit now.

Those went west Sunday on a empty train while we were doing the install of the Greensfork Server, so that aren't new from Muncie

Yes.  NS 1075-1099 are being built in Mexico.  So far 1075-1089 have arrived, all within the last few weeks.

Does anyone know where did this train went to/from when heading west, and where it is returning east.  Would have loved to have caught a trio of brand new ACes...
