P918-24 passing thru Indy today.  Queensgate to Terre Haute the LONG way.  Train shows out of McGonigle on the Indianapolis Sub (B&O) at 07:47.  Will head to Crawfordsville , up through Lafayette to Bedford Park, back down to Danville and into Terre Haute.  AGGRESSIVE Schedule to make Terre Haute today.  Ran Atlanta to Cincinnati yesterday, so anything's possible.   Full 10 car occupied business train with F40s 9993 and 9998 as power - over half the train is now painted in the "new" traditional B&O passenger scheme.

Saw most of it flying through New Palestine this morning. Wish I had gotten out there 30 seconds sooner to grab some photos. Nice looking train.

Thatís a pretty interesting way to get to Chicago.  Any speculation as to whether this is normal property circulation, or something else?

Saw a CSX MOW crew in Brownsburg sound 11 AM this morning.  They were just west of SR 267.

They appeared to make a cut thru the rail with a torch,  then dressed off the ends with a grinder.

Were they removing a small section to prevent the rail from buckling due to the excessive heat?

Thanks
