It's cool to see traffic on LIRC on Saturdays.  Northbound CA at Lilly Corp mixed freight, 30 cars, 2 LIRC locos at 11:15am.   Train is often stopped here for 10-15 min waiting for CSX clearance and is a good photo opp. as the train is elevated and area is wide open.

Whoah!   Long CA Northbound train today, two LIRC locos, 58 mixed freight cars at Lilly Corp( just south of Union Station/ CSX) at 12 noon.  Lots of tankers today.  Rarely do you see LIRC use only two locos with more than 50 cars.

Question:  When LIRC CA arrives at Avon, is their departure train/ cut of cars already assembled by CSX and ready to go?

Depends on the workload out at Avon, but usually its set to the car department.  Mechanical inspection may not be complete, but should be in the 'hands' of the car department to work.  Originating CSX trains take precedent over LIRC, INRD, etc.  Noon is busy because you have J721, Q595, Q360, Q358, Q239, and Q218 all in the picture for departures and working by the car inspectors.

Practice Safe CSX

I knew that, Was thinking CEFX but Typed in HLCX. Also was down by the Kokomo Grain Company just south of Amity and they are getting things ready to put in a Long Siding. Has anyone heard anything about the Siding or How long it will be. It looks like it will be a Very Long Siding.

Northbound CA at 11:30 AM at Union Station.  I tried to catch up for a car count but caught too many lights and going too fast on CSX tracks west of downtown to have a shot.  However, I was able to determine there were two LIRC locos are roughly 20 cars, give or take.

Forgot to add that I caught CSX on LIRC over near Troy Ave. on Thursday heading northbound.  It looked like they had been servicing the Industry Park there.  Two locos, no cars.

Is it CSX property up to MP 4?  If so, then yes.
