Where was rb1? 08/21/2012 [solved]
« on: August 22, 2012, 12:21:15 AM »
1st and 2nd photos of many, until puzzle is solved.

Photo #1 & #2, please identify the name of this abandoned railroad line.

Hint #1 - Do NOT let the electric power lines confuse you.  This is NOT a former interurban line.
Hint #2 - This line was active in 1969

If this puzzle is solved within 24 hours, then
    please identify the location.

Reminder to other photographers.  Always switch "flash" from AUTO to OFF.  I think my photos appear darker than usual because the weather was slightly cloudy and overcast.

Close Enough.  Actually, the first photo was taken 1 mile north of Clifford.

Additional Notes...
My 1941 Rand McNally Handy Railroad Maps of Indiana says that this was "B & O" from Jeffersonville to Rushville.
My 1964 Official Highway Map of Indiana says that this was "C.C.C. & St. L." (aka Big Four)
My 1969 Official Highway Map of Indiana says that this was "N.Y.C."

These photos were taken along:

My 1941 Rand McNally Handy Railroad Maps of Indiana says that this was "PA."
from Columbus, Shelbyville, Rushville,  to Cambridge City and onto Haggarstown.
My 1964 Official Highway Map of Indiana says that this was "PA."
from Columbus, Flatrock, Lewiscreek, Fenns, Shelbyville, Gings, Falmouth, Bentonville, to Dublin (west of Cambridge City).
My 1969 Official Highway Map of Indiana matches my 1964 map.
