If someone has a wheelchair, they would have to be able to get themselves (with folks helping them) on, then put the wheelchair on board.    But if they cannot get up the car steps, then no.

Do you have any say in what will pull the train. If so, have you made a decision yet? I'd like to see one of those Baldwins run. Also, feel free to use my video of last year's excursion to help you advertise!

Trip is a go, have 35 passengers.  Will be cutting off at  40 for cabooses, have room for 40 more in coach.
The engine is or was to be the one painted NYC (#25?) with a NYC theme, and the NYC Transfer caboose and with a couple of freight.
The extra cabooses will be cut off for photos runs.

Hate to say it, but you lose a lot when you exclude kids.
I know several people that can't go because of this.

Plus you remove a entire generation to exposure of the hobby.

This policy will NEVER change on my trips.
I have people compliment me for NOT having kids.

Just out of curiosity, (and I'm not trying to make anyone upset here) have you ever thought of making one car be for families with kids and the rest be 15 and up only and just make sure that no one in the "kid car" was aloud to get off? Then again, it would probably get complicated at that point. Again, this is merely for my curiosity as I would like to charter a train like this myself someday if I can ever find the time or money. And that's a GINORMOUS "if."

This is the sole reason I don't go on these trips. I wouldn't bring my four-year-old daughter, but my 7- year old son would love things like this. Too bad.

Coach seats are window seats.
Consists:  NYC 9339, Coach #6 (former NYC Boston & Albany) and the NYC Transfer Caboose. couple of freight and
additional cabooses.    These additional cabooses will be cut off for photo runbys.
Next year caboose trip will be on the 3rd Sunday, March 16th, 2014.

May have two more "private" excursions, on a freight line, and on a tourist line, these will be in 2014.
The one on the tourest line will be steam.   Custom schedule.

When it gets closer to depart date, and if I have room, I will accept new passengers that Sunday.
Will post it Saturday, if room.

Besides the cabooses getting cut off for the photo runbys, will the train be doing the exact same things as last year?

By the way, for those who haven't seen it, here's my video of the excursion from last year plus some bonus CSX footage from the same day:

Changes planned so far:
No photo runby at the CSX overpass, but backing up to it to cover the mileage.
This is to trade time for stopping at the Laurel Canal Dam.   Have had two ask about this.
Other change is at Metamora, running around, then backing to end of track, so as to give a different photo view.
There is always first timers, so for them it is all new. I know for the repeats it gets old......
This is all a maybe.....  so far have 64 passengers, but not all paid.  Only payment counts.
