NYC Museum Re-connected
« on: July 13, 2018, 11:45:01 AM »
A fellow on the Ahead Of The Torch facebook page is stating that NS has reconnected the National New York Central Railroad Museum back to a connection with the yard lead.  Supposedly they have been without any connection to the outside world for 10+ years, so this would allow movement of equipment in or out and into the main yard area.

Sounds like a good thing!

That is not correct.  They’ve had connection to the ns tracks for decades.  The connection was pulled up when the cp 421 project was taking place.  The connection was put back in about a month or two ago as the last portion of the track installation.  They perhaps meant 10 months without a connection because that’s about when the connection was pulled.

Ahead Of The Torch is a Facebook group that follows equipment and such in danger.
